Current Grants Available through the SCRCA

Clean Water Project

  • includes all of Middlesex, Oxford and Perth Counties (the SCRCA is the contact for areas within the St. Clair Region and Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authorities areas of jurisdiction
  • an Environmental Farm Plan is required in order to obtain a grant
  • a peer review committee must approve project

Green Cover - Ontario Soil and Crop Improvement Association

  • covers the entire SCRCA area of jurisdiction
  • 50% grant dollars
  • in-kind contributions for labour allowed
  • must have a level 3 Environmental Farm Plan
  • technical assistance provided by SCRCA while Ontario Soil and Crop Improvement Association administers the program

Sydenham River Habitat Stewardship Program for Species at Risk

  • covers the drainage basin of the Sydenham River
  • 50% grant dollars
  • in-kind contributions for labour and land retirement allowed increasing grant amount up to 100% of out of pocket costs
  • priority given to projects that directly benefit species at risk
  • a peer review committee must approve project
