Current Grants Available through the SCRCA
Clean Water Project
- includes all of Middlesex, Oxford and Perth Counties (the SCRCA
is the contact for areas within the St. Clair Region and Lower
Thames Valley Conservation Authorities areas of jurisdiction
- an Environmental Farm Plan is required in order to obtain a
grant
- a peer review committee must approve project
Green Cover - Ontario Soil and Crop Improvement Association
- covers the entire SCRCA area of jurisdiction
- 50% grant dollars
- in-kind contributions for labour allowed
- must have a level 3 Environmental Farm Plan
- technical assistance provided by SCRCA while Ontario Soil and
Crop Improvement Association administers the program
Sydenham River Habitat Stewardship Program for Species at Risk
- covers the drainage basin of the Sydenham River
- 50% grant dollars
- in-kind contributions for labour and land retirement allowed
increasing grant amount up to 100% of out of pocket costs
- priority given to projects that directly benefit species at risk
- a peer review committee must approve project
