Healthy Watersheds Program Survey
Every year, the St. Clair Region Conservation Authority works with landowners and partners across the watershed to support projects that help to improve soil health and protect water quality.
The SCRCA’s Healthy Watershed Program provides technical and financial support for a variety of projects including planting riparian buffers (native grasses, shrubs, and/or trees), erosion control, building soil health, creating wetlands, fencing livestock from watercourses, wildlife habitat creation, and more!
Through this program, SCRCA staff will meet with landowners on their property, offer advice, and assist with project design and the coordination of contractors and materials. The SCRCA is able to obtain grant funding or direct landowners to funding opportunities to offset the cost of implementing stewardship projects that improve water quality.
