Soil Health Conference 2022
Session 3: Farmers Working Together to Build Healthier Soils
January 26, 2022 | SCRCA Stewardship Team
This presentation was a part of the St. Clair Region Conservation Authority’s 2022 Soil Health Conference held January 26, 2022.
Features: Tyler Zimmerman (North Dakota farmer), Chris Walberg (North Dakota farmer) and Cameron Ogilvie (Soils at Guelph/Soil Health Institute) as our facilitator.
Tyler and Chris have been farming and friends since they were young. In the last 10 years, they’ve started to focus on soil conservation. Together, they share how they have begun to implement various soil conservation techniques like 100% no-till, incorporating cover crops, 60″ corn, planting green, inter-seeding cover crops, and intercropping.
